Using This Page
- The time is in 24 hour format, so 1:00 p.m. is 13. The yellow highlighted square is the current time.
- Hold your mouse arrow over the blue start arrow to see the beginning and end time of the appointment you're pointing at.
- Hold your mouse over the blue notepad icon to see when each user last updated their data. If they have not changed anything on their calendar then this date will not change.
- To search for multiple users, separate searches with the pipe character (|). For example, John|Bill will list all occurences of John and Bill.
- Click the blue notepad icon to view the original Outlook export file.
- Click the red [x] to remove a user's name from the display. Click [all users] to view all names again.
- Click on the username to email that individual using your default email applicaation.
- Click on a date to view only that day.
- Click the big green arrows at the top to view more days at a time. Keep in mind that each user can choose to export only a set amount of dates at a time, so though you are viewing 30 days of data, there may only be 14 days of data saved in the user's file.
- Click the little green arrows at the top to change the Greenwich time offset.
Getting Connected
- If you would like to add your information to this page, it can be done automatically.
- You must use Outlook2000 Calendar (or newer) to participate.
- Open Outlook, click TOOLS/OPTIONS, and then press the Calendar Options button.
- Click the Free/Busy Options button.
- Type the number of months to publish at a time. 2 is good. Set it to update every few minutes... that's up to you.
- Check 'Publish my FreeBusy Information.'
- In the 'Publish at this URL' box, type: ftp://freebusy@crookedbush.com:community@www.crookedbush.com/[YOURNAMENOSPACES].vfb
- In the 'Search at this URL' box, type: http://freebusy.crookedbush.com/%NAME%.vfb (leave the %NAME% part).
- Restart Outlook
When wanting to look at people's Free/Busy information, you can either come here, or from Outlook click 'new' appointment, and 'attendee availability.' Type the name of each attendee in the 'All Attendees' box. If the Free/Busy info is available, it will be displayed next to their name.
Each contact in your contacts folder can have a link to 'free/busy' information. Open the contact, eg; Jason Silver. Click the 'Details' tab. At the bottom of the page will be a box for 'Internet Free-Busy.' If they have their own Free-Busy link, put it here, or if they're using our server, put
